Rotell, Kali, and LOVE!!! Happy late V-Day.

Back by popular demand... The RETELL story!

Nick and I had just gotten back from our honeymoon. We NEVER cooked because our kitchen was the size of a closet with a washer and dryer in it! I decided one day to make crawfish fettuccine so I take my little recipe (I got from Trisha at my shower) and head to Winn Dixie. I WANDER the isles for about 15 minutes looking for Retell. All the while, wondering what the heck retell was. I can't remember exactly what I was thinking it could be but it had nothing to do with tomatoes! I then spot some older lady who looked like a total housewife and though "I know she knows what this retell is" So I say, "excuse me m'am.... do you know what retell is" and she laughs at me. She then takes me to the isle and picks it out for me. My mother taught me sooo well. At least I now know.

We are almost finished packing!!! Not too much left. I was talking to Kali the other day and she said "Jessie, I am still marking my calender for you to come home." I ask her if she is sick and she says "yes, I have the strep, but don't worry, the sickness will be gone when you get here!" We then talked for a little while longer and I ask how Duncan is doing. She tells me that he is not doing well and tells me how the other day before school granny had to chase him down the street and then he ran in the house. She said "Jessie, I think you need to have a talk with him when you get home." That baby is too funny. Gosh I love her!!!

Speaking of love, I had an awesome valentines day. Me, Nick and a bunch of work friends went to the Winery. It was a blast. I got pretty tipsy, danced to love songs :), and enjoyed the company. We got home and I was pretty tipsy. Nick knew I was drunk because I offered I asked him if he wanted to go to the hot tub. I have been scared of hot tubs for a long period of time. I am always affraid I am going to get some kind of vaginal fungi from one... you never know what is floating around in that pitre dish! Anyways... you are not supposed to go in after dark. We walk in and this alarm goes off and a recording comes on "The police have been called. Leave the premises immediately!!!!" I was so scared and paranoid. We only stayed at the pool for about 20 minutes.... the cops never came! HA! Anyways, in honor of v-day I have decided to list some things I love about the people I love:
- I love my family and the wierd but strong bond that we have.
- I love how Kali can brighten my day even by leaving me a message on my cell phone.
- I love Kali's kind heart.
- I love that she gets her kind heart from Jamie.
- I love how Sarah says "hello Jennifer" almost every time I talk to her.
- I admire the courage Jamie has.
- I appreciate being able to call Jennifer for advise.
- I love Jordin because she is the funniest person I know.
- I think Jordin is the strongest person ever.
- I love that my parents gave me the freedom to be who I wanted to be.
- I love that my mom will give the shirt off of her back for anyone.
- I think my parents are really good, honest people and I love that they taught me those qualities.
- I love that my dad would do anything for us.
- I appreciate that my parents worked really hard for everything they have.
- I love that I married someone I can sit around and do nothing with and still be happy.
- I love how Nick makes me breakfast almost every Saturday... If we have three eggs left, he will give me two.
- I love that Nick still tells me that I'm beautiful when I am not wearing make up and my hair is up and I'm not.
- I love it when Nick rubs my back to help me sleep.
- I love seeing Nick with his nieces and nephews.
- I love slow dancing with Nick.
- I love that he has never forgetten to get me a card for every birthday, anniversary and Valentine's day.
- I love that after seven years of cards, he still has the sweetest words to say.
- I love that he's a hottie!
- It makes me happy that all of my friends love him.
- I love his imperfections.
- I am a lucky girl!!!

San Sabastian Winery tour and tasting.... check!

I had fun at the Winery last weekend. We did the little tour, did some wine tasting, bought a case.... I was excited to finally check it off of the to do list I have had since I moved here. Took long enough. This weekend we are going back to the rooftop bar to hang out with some work peeps. It should be fun. I also got to eat at my fav little hole in the wall place, Flavors . I will surely miss that food! I also finally got to go shopping for the first time in a month. I was disappointed because I found a BCBG dress I HAD to have but the zipper was broken. The chick called every store in FL and no one had one in my size. It made me very sad, I have been pouting about it for days...ask Nick!

Anyways, Work SUCKS! I dont know if it is because I have one foot out the door or if it is anything else. I am so over it though. I wish I could use my vacation time but I can't! Boo! I had a baby detained today and it pissed me off. I spent 10 minutes on the phone arguing with the investigator about the meaning of domestic violence. PI's are so arrogant!!!

We are steadily packing away. I am glad jo did not come visit for her birthday. The house is kindof a mess! We also had to take the guest bed apart to store boxes. I wish I was home for her birthday though! :( It makes me sad I am missing hr 21st. I wish I could take off of work!!!! I am also sad that I haven't seen Eli yet, life's not fair!

I impressed myself last night with my baking skillz! I got this "100 year old" recipe from a supervisor at work called the Watergate Cake. It i really a pistachio flavored cake with homemade frosting. It is SOOOO good! And it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. If anyone wants the recipe let me know. I think I may bake it again when I am home. I told Nick I can finally bake a cake comparable to his mothers!! ;) LOL Tonight Nick and I tried to make fish... not so good... I will stick to baking.
Hope everyone has a nice week.
